The urban side of the heart: plurality of sensibilities and ways of existing in the city

Abstract

The objective of this review is to make a description of the content of the book entitled Urban experiences and sensibilities. Plural perspectives in sociological perspective, edited by Ana Lucía Cervio. In the first instance, the context of production of the book, its objective and Henry Lefebvre's perspective on the study of everyday life, as its main theoretical underpinnings, are stated. Subsequently, some of the virtues of the book are pointed out for the study of the triad sensitivity, city, capitalism and sensitivity policies are characterized as the guiding axis of the chapters. In a third moment, the content of the book is stated and brief descriptions of the chapters are made, these contain the title of the chapter, the name of the author, the methodology used by them and their main findings in a sensory key. Finally, a brief conclusion is expressed in which the critical and scientific view of the work is stated, as well as the unveiling of the social order, the structures of domination and the historical transformations, through the study of emotions.
