Abstract

The present work presents theoretical/methodological approaches that link social sensitivities in urban youth bodily practices, from sociological studies of body(s) and emotion(s). This work responds to an ongoing investigation with young people from the city of Villa María and Villa Nueva (Córdoba, Argentina) who practice in skate parks. In line with what has been expressed, the contributions of this writing will approximate levels of analysis and interpretation in the study of sensitivities in body practices that are framed within: Skate, roller and bike.

Within the framework of what has been expressed, the study of social sensitivities in urban bodily practices is investigated, starting from exploring the web of emotions and expressiveness of youth. In this direction, the question associated with: What social sensitivities are put “at stake”? It makes it possible to investigate the ways in which youth are constituted, live and learn in “Skate parks”. For the purposes of analysis, the first approaches to field work are presented -provisionally-. From analyzing field notes -as an instrument of ethnographic observation-, documentary analysis and visual records understood from the potential of visual experiences, as expressive modes of social sensibilities.
