Abstract
This study aims to debate sociocultural aspects that contribute to body construction on female soccer. A qualitative research based on a phenomenological approach was used to evaluate 15 female soccer players from Cruzeiro Futebol Clube, through a semi-structured interview. From the discussion about how these players build their bodies in female soccer, it was observed that the comprehensions of the body can be broader in relationships and dialogues between individuals. In addition, bodies carry in themselves multiple perceptions, such as the body as a tool, the physical and athletic body. This perceptions are subjective and incomplete, sometimes they relate with socially disseminated discourses, sometimes they diverge with such concepts.
