Abstract

The article presents the main results of research conducted between 2013 and 2015 in a mine of northern of Chile. The study adopted a gender perspective, to understand the construction of bodies and emotions of female workers in a masculinized company, comprising at masculinized company as a production unit that not only has more men, also there are practices that position women in subordinate positions. In this direction has been explored the relationship between structural elements connected to patriarchy and capitalist system to a new type, and elements of the superstructure, related to hegemonic identities, roles and stereotypes, bodies and emotions.
