http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/664

This article elaborates a theoretical-critical itinerary to account for contemporary representations of the monstrous body, considering it as a device that challenges norms and blurs traditional categories such as identity and subjectivity. A technography and a digital ethnography of identity representations in TikTok was carried out, including archiving and classification of publications and contents of subjectivities-corporalities that correspond to two ways of being a machine and to the notion of machinic agency according to Deleuze. From this field, critical categories that emerged from that register are proposed: the incomplete, the non-binary, the disposable and the posthuman. The study suggests that TikTok can be seen as a cartography of monstrous bodies circulating online, challenging traditional notions of normality and pathology. This representation of the monstrous body is a reaction to the transformation of social norms in semiocapitalism, where the body is depathologized and the meaning of the monster acquires a double significance: that of the moral monster, trapped in normopathic logic; and that of the war machine, as a nomadic, subaltern body, which is being constructed as an artist of itself.
Hector BujandaMaría Mercedes Zerega Garaycoa

2025-08-012025-08-01248819Bodies and emotions in the university classroom: analysis of emotional dynamics in teaching and/or learning processes at the undergraduate level (Colombia)
http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/701

This article is derived from doctoral research conducted at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana on the circulation
of emotions within teaching and/or learning relationships in Colombian universities. The study explores an
often-overlooked dimension in education: the emotional fabric that shapes pedagogical bonds in today’s
university context. It analyzes how emotions and affective atmospheres are produced, circulate, and are
reproduced in educational settings, drawing from an epistemological perspective that combines interpretive
and socio-critical approaches, while considering the influence of market logics. Methodologically, the
research employed a hybrid approach that integrates autoethnography and educational ethnography,
supported by participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal patterns in
interactions, characterized by movements of emotional closeness and distance, mediated by identity
and intersectional factors. The article proposes a theoretical model that engages with the Marxist theory
of commodity circulation, enabling an analysis of the use and exchange values assigned to emotions in
pedagogical relationships. In doing so, it offers a new perspective for understanding affective dynamics in
higher education, highlighting their significance in the configuration of educational bonds.
Franci Camila Amezquita Torres

http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/713

Considered as the epicentre of private life, home is a particular form of social organization. Inside it, various productive and reproductive tasks are planned and executed, as well as daily practices associated with conflict, care and enjoyment. In the face of the decline of the public sphere as an arena for collective expression and mobilization that accompanies the current development of capitalism, the irruption of the COVID-19 pandemic has had an undeniable impact on the home, re-centering it even more in the social dynamics as a central spatial-affective place for the production of bodies, experiences and sensibilities. The aim of this paper is to describe and analyze, from a sociology of sensibilities, the senses and emotions about the home identified in Buenos Aires City in a pandemic and post-pandemic scenario, taking as empirical reference data from two online surveys conducted in 2021 and 2023. After analyzing some ruptures-continuities identified in the senses and emotions of 'porteños' during and after the isolation, we present some readings related to the home as a space in which, in addition to producing “the domestic”, a set of senses associated with care, comfort and conflict are at play.
Ana Lucía CervioGisela Colombo

http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/663

During the month of October 2023, the Chamber of Deputies unanimously approved the “Inclusive Argentina” bill, which aims to train state officials on disability issues. In this context, our goal is to contribute to the public debate with some critical reflections on the matter. To do this, we first detail the legislation related to disability training in Argentina and its main guidelines. Secondly, we conduct a case analysis of the “experiential circuit”, a policy developed by the Undersecretary of Disability, Rehabilitation and Inclusion of the province of Córdoba. The selection of this policy is based on the fact that it represents a commonly used awareness tool: “putting oneself in another's person's shoes”, meaning that people without disabilities simulate having them. Finally we set out to present some reflections by integrating contributions from Critical Disability Studies, some contributions from Feminist and Decolonial Epistemologies and Sociology of the Bodies and Emotions. To achieve this objective, we conducted an analysis of public domain texts using current legislation and official documentation related to the “experiential circuit” as sources.
Mariana GandolfoMarina Tauber

2025-08-012025-08-012486171A proposal for the empirical study of social sensibilities in the world of work, from the Sociology of Bodies/ Emotions
http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/748

This article presents an analytical framework for the empirical study of social sensibilities in the world of work, from the Sociology of Bodies/Emotions. It is argued that sensibilities, understood as feeling practices, are crucial to comprehending the articulation between social structures and agents' experiences, within the framework of capitalist relations of production/reproduction. The main objective is to systematize an analytical scheme (theoretical and empirical) that allows for understanding sensibilities as an articulating node of energy extraction, the regulation of sensations, and the installation of social supportability mechanisms. For this purpose, it was operationalized in two dimensions: socio-structural and cognitive-affective.
Andreina Colombo

http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/687

This article aims to understand the processing of young students in the face of the suicide of a schoolmate. The traumatic effects of the death of a generational pair on student groups need to be interpreted from the changes in sensibilities, bonds, values and conceptions about existence. The results of a qualitative study carried out in two secondary schools in peripheral urban areas of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, are presented. The analysis of the testimonies allows us to characterize the impact of suicide on the social dynamics and relationships within the school community, where survivors develop a series of strategies for the collective elaboration of grief: they create spaces for dialogue and conversation to share their feelings and experiences, strengthen bonds of mutual support, establish networks of solidarity with significant adults, carry out tributes and ceremonies to honor the memory of their classmate, develop narratives and collective meanings about the lived experience and commit to taking care of each other to prevent this event from happening again in the peer group.

http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/774

Giacomo Lampredi

2025-08-012025-08-0124867Sexual facilitation from a decolonial perspective
http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/778

http://www.relaces.com.ar/index.php/relaces/article/view/719

Muhammad Yusoph Ramos
